Confreight Belgium Ltd. was founded in 1984 by its current Presidents Mr. Roger Claessens and Mr. Francis Tirard. Its original road haulage activities soon
expanded to include worldwide LCL movements which now makes up its core business.
The first foreign branch office opened its doors in Paris in 1989. Other offices followed in Birmingham,Brussels, Budapest, Capetown, Durban, Geneva, Genua,
Hamburg, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Le Havre, London, Lyon, Manchester, Marseille, Milan, Montreal, Pireaus, Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Toronto, Vicenza, Warsaw.
Every office having its own identity and independance, still remains under the supervision of the head-office in Antwerp. In 1993 Confreight Belgium Ltd. opened its
own bonded 22,000 square meters warehouse "Distripark", operated by their sister company HANDLING AND DISTRIBUTION COMPANY to improve the service and
to guarantee again the neutrality. Here all warehouse activities are offered ranging from unloading, loading, storage, order picking and distribution, all under the
control of a fully computerized system. Other bonded warehouses were opened up in Antwerp, Brussels, Rotterdam, Milano, France and Eastern Europe, which
brings the actual capacity upto 45.000 square meters or 480.000 square feet. In 1994, once again, new horizons were explored when the airfreight office at Brussels
airport was opened under the name of Confreight Air Ltd. Other airfreight offices followed at the airports of Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Roissy CDG and Lyon
Satolas. |

Nowadays Confreight Group is a well diversified, multi division company, known as a worldwide consolidator and warehousing company. In order to maintain
adequate control over the vast quantities of cargo being handled every day, strong investments have been made in a sophisticated computer system with a 24 hours
daily link between the own offices and several agents. While the LCL consolidation is now the main business, the road transportation from which it all started, still
remains one of the major activities with LTL truck services to and from all major West- and East European countries daily. For East Europe in particular, Confreight
Group regards itself as the specialist and main player in the market. Own bonded warehouses in Warsaw and Budapest and an inland transportation system,
guarantees a door to door controlled movement and avoids any possible delay in delivery. European inland cargos are combined together receiving depots, from
where our worldwide LCL services are offered. Confreight Air Ltd. in Brussels has become the co-ordinating office in Europe for many agents and customers and is
one of the fastest growing airfreight agents in Brussels. The other offices in the Netherlands and France have secured themselves an important market share in their
local markets. |

Havre, Marseille, Genoa, Pireaus, Istanbul, Capetown, Durban, Montreal and Toronto to other continents. The ultimate goal is to offer direct LCL departures to all
main ports of the world at the most competitive rate and fastest possible transit. New branch offices will be opened in Europe and on other continents to achieve this
goal. In support to the LCL services, the airfreight and trucking, Handling & Distribution Company will open up other bonded warehouses at other locations.
